Delishia M. Pittman, PhD, MPH, ABPP, LPC, NCC, ACS is an Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology in the Department of Psychological Studies in Education in the College of Education and Human Development at Temple University. Dr. Pittman earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from The University of Georgia, and an MPH in epidemiology from GW.

Dr. Pittman’s work has centered on examining the ways in which race and racism, culture, and environment exert influence on the health behavior and health outcomes of Black emerging adults. Her professional work and contributions have been recognized by Division 17: Society of Counseling Psychology (Early Career Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Counseling Psychology), Division 56: Trauma Psychology (Early Career Award for Racial/Ethnic Minority Psychologist in Trauma Psychology), the American Psychological Association (Distinguished Professional Contributions to Independent Practice), and the American Board of Professional Psychology (Early Career Psychology Diversity Award).

Dr. Pittman has a long history of service to the profession. In addition to serving as President-Elect for SCP,  she is also Chair of the Committee on Division/ APA Relations (CODAPAR), President for the American Board of Counseling Psychology (ABCoP), and ABCoP Trustee on the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) Board of Trustees.

She is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Paradigm Shift Psychological Wellness Collective, a boutique psychotherapy practice centering the wellbeing of BIPOC millennials. She is dually licensed as a psychologist and licensed professional counselor, and board-certified in counseling psychology.
