Lisa Ferdinand, Ph.D.

Lisa A. Ferdinand, Ph.D., is the Assistant Director for Clinical services at the University of South Florida Counseling Center. Dr. Ferdinand’s clinical interests include multiculturalism and social justice, supervision and training, primary care behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and crisis management and intervention. She has a certificate in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the Center for Integrated Primary Care in Massachusetts and coordinated the USF Counseling Center’s postdoctoral fellowship program, which has an emphasis in primary care behavioral health, for several years. Dr. Ferdinand has conducted research, published peer-reviewed articles, and presented nationally on reducing health disparities among low-income and culturally diverse populations, fostering leadership potential among international students and professionals, and improving access to mental health services for traditionally underserved students on university campuses. She is a fellow of the 2014 SCP Leadership Academy and currently serves as the Society’s VP for Professional Practice and as Chair of the Section for Training and Supervision.
