Applications are invited for student members of Division 17 to serve as volunteers for the Society of Counseling Psychology Hospitality Space at the 2015 American Psychological Association Annual Convention in Toronto, ON, Canada. Please find the descriptions of volunteer duties below. If interested, please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org by July 24, 2015 at 11:59 PM (EST). When replying, please indicate your school and program, along with your personal contact information (email and phone contact).
Applicants must be members of the Student Affiliates of Seventeen (SAS) and be considered in good standing in their doctoral program. If you are not a member, but would like to be a volunteer, please submit an email of interest, and indicate you have contacted Division 17 about SAS membership.
The primary duties of the volunteers are to greet attendees, oversee the information tables, and direct attendees to the appropriate rooms for their events. Volunteers will be present to help manage the flow of people between sessions and to assist professional administrators in managing any challenges with the Hospitality Space.
Volunteers will be needed to fill slots from 8am to 5pm on August 6-8, and from 8am to 12pm on Sunday, August 9th. Being present during your volunteer time is vital to the functioning of the Hospitality Space. When responding please indicate times you are certain you are NOT available. We will create a volunteer schedule and distribute this for confirmation regarding your ability to be present during your assigned times. While some changes can be made later, we hope these will be minimal.
Volunteer Orientation Meetings
Orientation meetings will be held on the mornings of August 6th and August 7th to prepare volunteers. Please be aware you will be asked to attend one of these sessions prior to your assigned time. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please sign up to volunteer by sending an e-mail to: email@example.com.
Thank you for your consideration and your service to Division 17!
