Assistant
Professor - Counseling Psychology - Tenure Track
The Department of
Educational Psychology is seeking candidates for an assistant
professor, tenure-track position in the APA accredited
Counseling Psychology program. The responsibilities include a)
maintaining a relevant program of research, grant writing, and
publication, b) teaching required courses in school counseling, c)
providing leadership in the areas of school counseling, d) serving
on departmental, school and university committees. Applicants should
have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (preferred) or ABD status; a
scholarly emphasis on and experience in school counseling; an active
research program with a focus on applications in schools;
demonstrated knowledge of urban populations and dedication to
training individuals in a world of increasing diversity; a strong
potential to attract extramural research funding; and demonstrated
excellence in teaching. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
teaching and research experience. Start date: August, 2008. Send

recommendation, and sample publication(s). Review of applications
begins December 15, 2007 and continues until position is filled.
