Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology

Counseling Psychology

Positions: The program in Counseling Psychology is recruiting to fill two tenure-track, assistant professor level positions. Candidates for both positions should have a record of productive scholarship/research, teaching and advising, and service to the field that compliments and extends the diversity of the counseling program. In the first position, we are looking for someone with scholarly interests and expertise in the areas of psychological assessment and testing. In the second position, we are looking for someone with scholarly and teaching interests in ethics, couples and family counseling, and/or bilingual school counseling.

Responsibilities: Develop a program of research; teach graduate level courses; advise doctoral and master’s students; and supervise research and clinical placement of master’s and doctoral students.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in counseling psychology; licensed or license-eligible; evidence of research productivity and potential for extramural funding; and, commitment to teaching excellence.

Rank: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track.
