Essential Functions (Job Duties):
Teach in the areas of personality assessment and/or individual, marital, and family systems psychotherapy. Develop and pursue an active research program including presentations at peer reviewed conferences, publications, and seek with reasonable success, appropriate grants to support your work Advise students, direct theses and doctoral dissertations.
Participate in appropriate service activities.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in counseling psychology from an APA approved program is required.
Must hold or be eligible for full psychologist licensure in Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications:
A clearly articulated empirical research agenda, with some prior research productivity (e.g., presentations, publications, grants), is critical. Desire to teach in the areas of personality assessment and/or individual, marital, and family systems psychotherapy is strongly desired.
Dual training in school and/or educational psychology preferred but not required.
All faculty in the department are part of our Ph.D. programs. The school psychology concentration of the doctoral program has a broad-based psychology focus on psychotherapeutic intervention and assessment from a developmental systems perspective, and an emphasis on integrating systems of intervention delivery between home/family, school, and community agencies and practitioners
