President John Westefeld’s presidential initiative is “Suicide Prevention”. John’s project has four components as follows:
- Two symposia will be presented at the 2010 APA Convention dealing with Suicide and Suicide Prevention.
- Working with the Division 17 Community Engagement Committee, we will do some community outreach to San Diego for the public on the topic of Suicide Prevention during the 2010 APA Convention.
- We will provide training in Suicide Prevention at the 2010 Convention for Psychologists.
- Resources related to Suicide prevention will be posted on this website. Click here for these resources
